How Do I Search for a Transaction?

In this article we’re going to review how to use Pinwheel’s reporting system works. We’re going to help you find a transaction or report on a period.

  • To access your Pinwheel Reports, simply login to  https://paybypinwheel.com/
  • Use the assigned username and password sent via email.
  • The default screen is the transaction history, so you will be able to see your transactions immediately.

  • From here you have many options to choose from. Let’s say you want to view the latest transaction details in an expanded view. To the left of the transaction ID click on the + symbol.

  • Now you can see the details of the transaction:
    •  Address
    • email
    • phone number
    • AVS ( address verification )
    • CVV ( security code on back of card )

Reporting on a Date Range

  • First click on the date you wish to start with and then click on the ending date.
  • Once you’ve picked your range, click search. Scroll down and view the transactions within that date range.

 

Advanced Search

  • Click on the Advanced Search arrow, which allows you to search various data point to find the transaction you are looking for.

  •  Attributes to search:
    • Transaction Info
      • Transaction ID
      • Transaction Order ID
      • Date
      • Amount
    • Card Info
      • Card brand (Visa/Master Card, Amex etc)
      • Last 4 of the credit card number
    • Customer Info
      • First name
      • Last name
      • Email
      • Phone
      • Address
      • City
      • State
      • Zip code
    • Cart Info
      • Cart name
      • Cart Order ID
      • Integration

Don’t forget to click on the SEARCH button and the data will appear below.

Downloading Your Transactions into a CSV File

  • In the transaction menu, in the upper right corner of the screen, you will see a purple Download CSV.  Click on the button and you the report will be dowloaded to your computer. From here you can sort your data how ever you choose.

 

  • Here’s an example of a downloaded report, which can now be sorted in Excel.
